List by Scientific Names

This is a list of scientific names taken from the excellent Zoonomen resource by  Alan Peterson M.D.  based on  Sibley&Monroe; AOU Checklist (7^th Ed.) with supplements; Howard & Moore Checklist 3^rd Ed. with Corrigenda; and additional current literature but without citations.
Subspecies have been included and follow Handbook Birds of the World (as available), Howard & Moore Checklist 3^rd Ed., and additional current literature.

The decision to use Sibley and Monroe's checklist as the base was taken as I currently employ the same in the Australasian Bird Image Database (ABID)

*Note: This project will always be in progress and therefore incomplete, I intend to build up the lists to a useable  state and then would welcome (authenticated) user involvement to enter data, please contact me if you feel you can assist.
