‘Spring-Soundscapes’

Bird-activity is ‘hotting-up’ in South-east Queensland and so I decided to record some local soundscapes for future reference.

These two were both recorded at the southern corner of Hillview Reserve near Dayboro, try and see how many species you can identify. (hint: I’ve found 2 easy ones and ‘annotated’ part of the spectrogram)

Note: the first is 42 minutes long, second around 10 minutes.

Have a listen to these three Golden Whistlers having an ‘argument’ (2 males and a female)

Great stuff Tom! Thank you. Loved the Golden Whistlers. I think I heard an Emerald Dove, Bar shouldered Dove, Lewins, Pied Butcherbird, Shining bronze cuckoo?, varied triller?, brown cuckoo dove?,rainbow lorikeets, spangled drongo? – do you have a list of all of them? Lots I don’t recognise esp not the quiet little chatterers.
