Just when you thought it was safe to avoid bird-audio, I’ve found another exciting clip!
This one is from Sensor-site BB3,.(somewhere) on the Sunshine Coast. An Australian Owlet-Nightjar (AUON) was calling quietly and constantly throughout the six-minute segment. but towards the end a flat-hiss reminiscent of an Eastern Barn Owl is repeated on three occasions and then there are three irregular notes which may be a distressed AUON. There are also frogs and insect-noise and a fairy-wren calling. What do you think? Click on the blue text to listen.
